Bringing a New Leader into an organization

This program targets bringing a New Leader into an organization in a way that maximizes knowledge and engagement from associates and direct reports, while giving an opportunity to learn about the New Leader and help direct the future of the organization.

  • Coach facilitates a conversation with the New Leader about what he/she wants to bring to the organization

  • After a few words from the New Leader, coach leads the directs reports and associates through a structured dialogue to ask and answer questions about the new leader and the existing organization

  • Next, the New Leader returns to answer questions, pose questions, and begin to lay out an agenda for the organization

  • After the half-day workshop, the coach returns for a close-out with the Leader to support the implementation of an action plan for the organization

  • This New Leader Assimilation Coaching workshop asks and answers the question, "What’s next?"

Executive was hired to come in and change the structure of the organization, improve results, and improve engagement scores and associate accountability Despite several 1-1 conversations, the new executive was unable to get the truth about what was going on in the organization—besides lots of finger pointing it wasn't clear what the opportunities or barriers were, nor was he making headway in getting others to understand the possibilities he saw Executive engaged a coach for integration coaching and a half-day New Leader Assimilation, where the coach met with the leadership team to help figure out barriers to success and the current state of the organization, and facilitated a leadership conversation so everyone heard the values and vision of the new leader Leadership team was aligned with each other on their current state so they could build out a future vision, knowing existing barriers.  They also had an appreciation for what the new executive was bringing to the organization and how they could all work together on a common set of goals
